Our sustainability strategy

Doing business and thinking sustainably are deeply embedded in our corporate strategy. We continuously invest in new responsible solutions in order to continuously improve our sustainability targets.

Our company is certified under ISO 14001, which demonstrates the consistent implementation of an environmental management system and confirms the sustainable organisation of all processes.

In order to continuously improve our sustainability strategy, we partner with EcoVadis and Integrity Next.

Responsibility for the environment

We consistently unite economic performance with responsible business. Through targeted investment in energy savings, we are continuously lowering our energy usage and sustainably reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. With innovative optimisations in our production we are increasing our resource efficiency every day and thus strengthening our environmental responsibility. This includes, among other things, gradually making our vehicle fleet all-electric, expanding our own charging infrastructure and sustainably developing and increasing the efficiency of our entire plant and machinery.

As part of our voluntary target agreement with the Energie-Agentur der Wirtschaft (EnAW) [Energy Agency for Industry] we have pledged to achieve measurable energy and CO₂ reduction targets and we have our progress reviewed regularly.

Sustainability in operation

We consistently focus on sustainable production and reduce waste to a minimum. From the outset of the development phase, we advise our customers on the efficient use of materials and sustainable material selection, for example using recycled material or bio-based plastics. Where permitted by regulatory frameworks, we close material cycles. We specifically aim to achieve the closing of material cycles taking into account regulatory requirements.

We reduce our impact on the environment by using targeted recycling programmes, systematic waste management and sustainable management of our supply chains. We believe in using environmentally friendly packaging solutions and we are continuously optimising these. We also take environmental criteria into consideration along the whole value chain.

Training and awareness

We train our employees and raise awareness about environmental and climate protection. They complete professional development on environmental topics around recycling and disposal to build their practical knowledge and expertise. In this way, we make a significant contribution to a corporate culture geared towards sustainability and to the continuous improvement of our environmental footprint.

From a social perspective too, we take responsibility by promoting gender equality and actively practising equal pay.

Whistleblowing

A transparent reporting system is a central pillar of our responsible company management. It allows employees and external partners to report potential violations or irregularities confidentially.

All information received is reviewed carefully, objectively and in strict accordance with legal requirements. The protection of the person providing the information and the maintenance of confidentiality are thus always the top priorities.
