Data protection

Your data is important to us

General information on data processing

Scope of processing of personal data

Our processing of our users’ personal data is restricted to data that is required in order to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of our users’ personal data is exclusively carried out for the purposes agreed with them or if another legal basis exists (within the meaning of the GDPR). We only collect personal data that is actually required in order to perform and execute our duties and services or that you have provided to us voluntarily.

Description and scope of data processing

Providing the website

Each time our website is visited, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system used to visit the site.

The following data is collected: Information about the browser type and the version used, the operating system used, the Internet service provider, the IP address, the date and time of access, and Internet sites used to access our site.

We store this information (log files) for a maximum of 24 hours. We store it for reasons of data security, in order to guarantee the stability and operational security of our system.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, to evaluate the use of the website. Google Analytics uses cookies that are saved on your computer. The information they contain about the website and Internet usage of the visitor may be processed and evaluated by Google.

The data collected by Google may be transferred to states outside the EU and the EEA, in particular the USA. However, Google is subject to the Privacy Shield Framework. Further information on your rights is available at ec.europa.eu/justice/dataprotection/document/citizens-guide_en.pdf.

We also ensure that your IP address is anonymised before it is transmitted to Google. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f of the GDPR.

Google DoubleClick and Tag Manager

In addition to the standard configuration of Google Analytics, expanded functions are used on this website that support targeted advertising based on the browsing behaviour of users. For this purpose, Google Analytics uses a third-party cookie from DoubleClick in order to evaluate data about the browsing behaviour of users on different websites. This data can be used to compile statistical information about demographic data and the areas of interest of website users.

Please note that we do not see data about individual users and the statistical data that we use cannot be traced back to specific users.

After visiting our website, some of our website visitors will be shown our advertisements on other websites. This type of advertisement placement is known as remarketing or retargeting. If you would like to object to the placement of these advertisements, we recommend that you make use of the options to deactivate website tracking through website users. Google also offers you the option of managing cookies for advertisement preferences yourself: www.google.ch/intl/de/policies/technologies/ads/

This website also uses Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via a user interface. Tags are small elements of code that are used to measure traffic and visitor behaviour, among other things. Google Tag Manager only implements tags. It does not use cookies and therefore no personal data is collected. Google Tag Manager activates other tags, which may in turn collect data. But Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out on a domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags which are implemented by Google Tag Manager.

All the information about Google Tag Manager is available here: www.google.ch/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Cookies

We use cookies on our website in order to make it user friendly. Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone etc.) when you visit our site. The cookies are stored until you delete them. When you next visit our website, we can recognise your browser by these cookies.

If you do not wish this to be the case, you can set your browser to inform you when cookies are placed and control the permissions for these in each individual case. However, please note that if you deactivate cookies, you will not be able to use all of the functions of our website.

The legal basis for the data processed by cookies is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f of the GDPR.

The cookies may remain valid until you delete them from your browser.

Contact form

If you fill out a contact form or send us an email or other electronic message, your details will only be stored in order to process the enquiry or other related questions, and will only be used in the context of the enquiry.

The legal basis for the processing of your enquiry is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b of the GDPR.

External links

This website contains links to third-party websites (external links). The respective operators of these websites are liable for them. We have no control over the design and content of the linked sites.

Social plugins (e.g. Facebook, Twitter etc.)

All integrated social plugins work using the 2-click method; this means that the recording of your browsing behaviour by a plugin only begins when you activate the respective plugin in the first place by clicking on it. If, at the time you visit our website, you are also logged into your Facebook account, for example, Facebook registers the site visit after the plugin is activated (first click) and can allocate this visit to your user account.

Data security

During the visit to the website, we use the common SSL/TLS protocols in connection with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. You can see that an individual page of our Internet content is encrypted by a closed lock or key icon in the address bar of your browser.

We also apply other appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in accordance with technical development.
